My husband & I (and our pandemic puppy Winnie) locked down in our Chicago home. As we pondered the great American toilet paper shortage, we plowed through movies on the streaming services and played games like backgammon and gin rummy.
We played so often, we could anticipate each other’s next move. We found that most games designed for two players lacked variety and quickly became boring.
Toilet paper might have been in short supply but one thing I had plenty of was time. So, I set out to create a new game for two players or more that included chance, strategy, and (literally!) some wild cards. I wanted every round to include an element of surprise.
